On Saturday, January 12, 2013, the 150th birthday of Swami Vivekananda, ADILNA SHERONO ANAND (Joy of the Couplets from the Ghazals of Adil) , the book in Gujarati (the language of Gandhi), was released. It has 72 couplets of the popular poet Adil Mansuri, and interesting readings about them.
The printing of the book was made possible with the help of Sri Vijay Shah.
–There are two important words in the name of the book: ‘Anand’ (Joy) and ‘Rasmaya’ (Interesting). While reading the book you will experience the joy of the couplets from the ghazals of the beloved poet Adil Mansuri. And that reading will be interesting.
–The book is about the couplets of the popular form of poetry called ghazal — but most of the book is in prose.
— And it is not a book of dry criticism. It is the book of interesting readings.

Vatanani dhoolthi maathu bhari lau Adil
Are aa dhool pachi umrabhara male na male.
(Let me sprinkle the earth of my motherland on my head
Oh, I may or may not get this earth during my life later on.)
Jyare kavita lakhavanu Ishwarne mana thayu
Tyare hu enaa kavyano akhshar bani gayo.
(When God wished to write a poem
Then I became a letter of His verse.)
Vistare to vyom pana tooku pade
eka binduma sametati ghazal
(If it evolves then even the sky will not be the limit
But in one drop does ghazal wrap up)
Ghughata khulyo hashe ane ooghadi hashe savar,
zulfo dhali hashe ne pachi raat thai hashe.
(On uncovering the veil morning must have flashed
And then commenced the night when the lovely hair dropped down.)
