વિવેકના મૃત્યુનો મહિમા ગાતા શેરો

મોના નાયક ‘ઊર્મિ’એ ડીસેમ્બર ૨૯, ૨૦૧૧ના રોજ www.layastaro.com વેબસાઈટ પર વિવેક મનહર ટેલરના મૃત્યુનો મહિમા ગાતા શેરો પોસ્ટ કર્યા છે.

વિવેકના મૃત્યુ વિશેના ૨૧ શેરો જીવનના અંતિમ સંગીતના સૂર જેવા છે. એ સૂર તો સહુ કોઈએ એક દિવસ સાંભળવાના છે. વિવેકના આ શેરોનું, એમના અન્ય સર્જનોની જેમ, વાચન-પઠન-મનન-ચિંતન અને ધ્યાન કરવા આપને નમ્ર વિનંતી કરું છું.

મારા પુસ્તક “વિવેકના શેરોનો આનંદઃ ડો. વિવેક મનહર ટેલરના ૫૦ શેરો અને એમના વિશે રસમય વાચન”માં નીચેના શેર વિશે લખ્યું છેઃ

અટ્ક્યું છે દિલ કશેક, તું વિશ્વાસ કર, મરણ !

હું તો પ્રયત્ન અહીંથી જવાનો કરું છું રોજ.

અને આ શેરોનો ઉલ્લેખ કર્યો છેઃ

ડરો નહિ, બુઝાયેલો અંગાર છું હું,

ખભા ચાર તો લાવો આગળ ને અડકો.

..અને એકાદ દિવસે ઊંઘ થોડી લાં…બી થઈ જાશે,

મને ઊઠાડવાને માટે મથશે તું, નહીં ઊઠું.

લેવાને પ્રાણ શબ્દ ઉપર પાશ નાંખ, યમ!

ના દેહ કે ના શ્વાસ, બીજું કંઈ નથી અમે.

Spielberg in my dream !

(Letter sent to The Modesto Bee — the widely circulated newspaper of Modesto, California).

Being fan of Steven Spielberg I read with great interest “Sunday with … Steven Spielberg” (Parade, 12/25), and “Spielberg’s two sides” (Bee, 12/26, p. C6) with great interest. Indeed, Spielberg is a genius filmmaker — he is a phenomenon.

I would like to share a dream that I had in Chicago on March 9, 2003 night. (When my eyes opened, it was about 4:30 a.m., Monday, March 10.)

I saw Swami Purnatmanandaji of Bharat Sevashram Sangha. He had written in long hand some dramatic work on some religious topic, and wanted to show it to me. I just saw some lines on the front page written in red.Then I saw Steven Spielberg standing. (I didn’t see Swamiji at that time, I saw only Steve. It was only he and me.)

Steve mentioned to me informally that he wanted to do some documentaries. I mentioned to him that I was a freelance writer, and we started talking. It was open ground and we were standing and talking.

Engrossed in the talk, Steve started walking backwards. I saw a ditch behind him. As I remember, I made some gesture. He looked behind and saw the ditch. But he was absorbed in our talk, and stood quietly near the ditch. I almost ordered him, “Come this side.” And he slowly moved away from the ditch.

Well, that was the dream. Now about my dream project: I have written 200-page screenplay for the epic period feature film VIVEKANANDA. The film will be a biopic of the standard of Richard Attenborough’s film GANDHI. I am sure Spielberg can make the great film VIVEKANANDA both artistically and commercially successful.

Which book can become the Indian national scripture ?

–This morning (Saturday, December 24, 2011) while still in bed, I started thinking about Which book can become the Indian national scripture. –Currently some religious enthusiasts among Hindus would like Gita to become the Indian national scripture. –Yes, I love Gita. –But I do not see any need to declare one book as the Indian national scripture as I am afraid this may instead of uniting the country divide it! –Why Gita should become the Indian national scripture? Why not one of the other religious scriptures such as Bible, Granth Sahib, Koran, (I have given examples alphabetically),  and so on? –Enthusiasts of every religion in India would like to make their scripture the national scripture. –If we must have the Indian national Scripture, then in my humble opinion it can be only one book: “The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna.” –Yes, only “The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna” can become the Indian National Scripture ! –“The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna” accepts all religions as true. Indeed, it is for all religions. –“The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna” is the modern scripture for not only India but for all humanity. –I urge you to read “The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna” with open mind and open heart and with the grace of God you will agree with me.
